Happiness is NOT Lubbock, Tx in my rearview mirror

Dont get me wrong I am enjoying Katy and the Houston area. I love my job and my babies are so much fun! But, I am still in love with the city of my birth. After spending 4 months in Katy I have compiled a list of things that we miss and just cant seem to find suitable replacements for ;)

1. Family- Being able to see anyone almost anytime was a luxary and I cannot even tell you how much we miss that luxary!! Yager, Kate, and Crew are 3 very important little people that we miss dearly.
2. Friends- While we have made a few good friends here it is just too weird to not me able to call my BFF's and have a girls night out.
3. Abuelos- There is no mexican resaturaunt here that can even compare to the awesomeness (it's a word lol) of Abuelos.
4. United- Seriously!! I like to compare HEB to Hell. You may think "oh my that is harsh" well let me tell you it isnt. The layout is like a maze and the staff wasnt very friendly either. I know your thinking "she only went once and didnt even try to give it a chance" well my friends I gave it many chances and I tried different locations too. HORRIBLE!!! Randalls and Brookshire brothers are ok but there arent any close to my house. Kroger is the best substitue I could find, but I still dont like it.
5. I miss my daily conversations with Kourtney and Macy Ellyson. Those 2 girls are a hoot and have some of the best stories!!
6. Lubbock traffic- REALY?!?!?! I know thats what I said but, yes really. They may not be the bbest drivers but most of them are friendly and if you get caught in Lubbocks "5 o'clock traffic" it will delay you 10-15 min if you get stuck in rush hour traffic here it could delay you 30-45 min.
7. Red Raiders- We have seen a few around but we see more maroon/white and burnt orange/white, it makes me sick! :)

We really miss everyone and everything in Lubbock but we look forward to seeing where our life in Katy will lead. We still have that spare room with a big empty bed just waiting for company!!!

Love this post! I have an idea...how about I come down this Wed and stay a couple of nights on that spare bed? ! Would that be ok? I just happen to have an airplane ticket, so we're set. I'm SO ready to see you!!!

The girls miss you too! We have some friends moving back from Amarillo, and I asked the girls to guess who was moving back to Lubbock, and they both yelled at the same time.. "SHANNEL!" They were really sad it wasn't you!

Sweetie, I've got to come and show you the marvels of Central Market and Whole Foods - they are an adventure. Maybe not routine grocery shopping, though. We need to get more travel time coming and going, that is for sure. We miss you bunches.
